George William Croft, 1867     

Entering The Citadel in 1863, he and all cadets were then mustered into Confederate Military service in 1864 by act of the SC legislature. He rose to the rank of Colonel in the CSA. Elected to the S.C. State Senate after the war and then elected U.S. Congressman from S.C., he took his House seat on March 3, 1903 and died in office March 10, 1904.
