James H. Hammond, 1907     

SC State Senator, 1927-1934. SC House of Representatives, 1915-1918. Former Chairman of the Board of Federal Savings & Loan Association. Hammond organized the first Boy Scout Troop in the southern states and captained both The Citadel football team in 1907 and the University of South Carolina's football team in 1910.
