CMDR Alfred Agnew, USN, 1962     

Last US Navy pilot shot down in Vietnam and the last pilot captured and imprisoned in the infamous "Hanoi Hilton." He was also the last POW released from North Vietnam following the tradition of "last one in will be the last one out". Another Citadel alumnus, MG Andrew Evans, was also the last POW released at the end of the Korean War.
